CIMACtoolLink
Description
CIMACtoolLink is an integrated development and execution environment, which provides interface between the tool control software and its external components. Its development environment is easy to use and allows complex manufacturing requirements to be accomplished with minimal custom programming effort. The resulting executable software can be configured to reside in or outside of the tool thus providing a flexible and robust interface between the tool and its external components. CIMACtoolLink is composed of a multi-threaded State-Machine Engine, and one or more Automation Connectors, based on XML technology and uses a SECS-GEM package, which complies with 300mm SEMI Standard. Each Automation Connector is loosely coupled to a transparent Transport Layer, which provides the means for communicating to external applications. CIMAC provides plug-in transport layer wrappers for the following communications technologies and products: MSMQ, JMS, TCP/IP Socket, MQ Series, Rendezvous, and HTTP. The Automation Connector's intelligence is created and maintained with an editor, stored as an XML file and used when the connectors are started. These connectors perform a symphony of unparalleled integrated processing.

- Development environment is easy and intuitive to use. Behavior is based on the look and feel of Microsoft Windows and Excel tables (e.g. pull down menus, tree structures and tables)
- Execution environment is modular and designed for high performance communications. New interface objects are easy to incorporate into the architecture
- Templates and a library of components are provided as an assistance for rapid deployment
- Industry specific drivers and adapters are provided by CIMAC
Benefits
- Connectivity has never been easier. Multiple protocols or integration technologies can seamlessly coexist through the multi-threading capability of CIMACtoolLink architecture, and the use of simple proven XML designs
- Synchronization of events and data manipulation is robust and fast because of the power and efficiency of CIMACtoolLink's State-Machine
- Small footprint means about 10MB of memory. Memory size has been minimized without sacrificing system robustness through the use of XML and reusable automation connectors. Consequently, CIMACtoolLink can be run as multiple instances on the same system without resource overload
- Performance is astounding. Because of the careful use of the NT operating system and symmetrically balanced and scalable components of the .NET family, the CIMACtoolLink is unsurpassed by anything else available today
- Remote control and remote data access are really what it finally boils down to. Automation tasks today are centered on delivering higher levels of remote access and control to every tool in the fab. With .NET technologies and proven designs for network performance, reliability and security, CIMACtoolLink is the only answer to the total solution for an ever-demanding customer
- Easy to use. CIMACtoolLink has an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) that allows developers to quickly build an interface application using a graphical user interface for mapping tool control software APIs to external applications without requiring any programming
